Oh how I despise jean shopping and that is why I am not gonna do it. Well, not until I want to take the plunge and purchase the only brand that fits… Paige Jeans are the ONLY jeans that contour to my body and the downfall is, they are about $200+. Needless to say they aren’t really in my cards right now. Maybe after the carpet is in, and we are back to a normal state I will be able to splurge and get my new jeans just in time for the Fall. I will not however, every waste my time again trying on jeans of a shallower dollar amount. Although I would LOVE to and I am not an advocate of wasting money on clothes when you can easily get the same things for cheaper (Just not designer), unfortunately I have no choice when it comes to jeans. See, I love wearing jeans, I can even sleep in them if need be. (Trust me, late night parties make this necessary). This is why they MUST be perfect. Most jeans I try on are WAY too big, especially in the thighs. Some smash my ass, and some make it look like a granny. Oh, but not Paige. They are amazing, the perfect small butt pockets make my butt look nice and round and cute, they fit nice and snug in the thighs and the waist it nice and low (just under my hips). The only downfall is that I am only 5″2 but with regular length legs not short but the jeans run so long that I have to get them tailored. Hey they fit where it matters so I don’t mind paying the $15 extra bucks to get them shortened a bit. I absolutely love those jeans and now I am getting excited for my new ones just writing about it! Soon I tell myself, soon. ;) FYI, if you are tiny and petite (I mean small people, pretty damn small), and have a difficult time finding sexy jeans, try Paige, I swear by them!!! And no I can’t purchase kids jeans…. I hate when people ask that. Kids jeans are shaped completely different than women’s jeans. They are wider and more square, and definitely shorter. Children do not take a womanly shape that is WHY they are kids jeans, not just because they are smaller. Trust me there are many “kids” that are a heck of a lot bigger than I am. Ok well, happy jean hunting!!!!!!!!!!!

Why Kroger SUCKS
August 24th, 2009 by prettythoughtsKroger SUCKS because…………………….
A. Their beef is pretty gamey
B. They advertise baby food on sale, and their SALE price is still a penny more than Meijer’s regular price
C. I bought milk at Meijer over a week ago and then I needed more to make some homeade frosting so I stopped at Kroger 2 days ago… the milk I bought a week ago at Meijer has a later expiration date than the Kroger milk I bought 2 days ago
D. Kroger brand ice cream that they advertise at an amazing price can’t be called ice cream, because it’s not ice cream
E. Kroger brand tortilla chips have about 10 chips inside a regular size chip bag
This is all I can think of that the moment… but I’m sure I will remember more… ![]()

New Carpet!!! Oh happy day!
August 24th, 2009 by prettythoughtsI have had it with this old carpet of ours! While I was pregnant we replaced the carpet in our daughter’s room and the entire basement. This left us with old carpet in the living room and our bedroom. It wasn’t too bad and we got it professionally clean so it was looking pretty nice for about a minute…haha. When things are old, they just never get as “clean” as they should no matter how hard you scrub or how much you pay. Either way, when it comes down to it, when something is old, it’s old. I couldn’t take it anymore, the doggie mess stains on this light colored, already warn and over used carpet was really getting on my last nerve. My husband and I found a local carpet company called Richmond Interiors online. We spontaneously drove there over the weekend to find ourselves very pleased and ready to make the move. The company was advertising carpet remnants at a highly discounted price so my husband and I picked out a carpet that fit our needs… darker in color for our “doggie” situation since we have 2 dogs and one of them is very old and prone to making mistakes, comfortable, and affordable. We found the carpet right away and the sincerity and kindness of the business owner seeled the deal. The man was extrememly helpful, generous, and friendly. I am so very excited to be getting new carpet. Hopefully with the plastic runners you can find in Model Homes, this will prevent at least some of the messes my beautiful little dog may make in the future. Plus this new carpet is pre-treated therefore it will aid in preventing penetration of the stain. OH HAPPY DAY I cannot wait until it is installe dnext week. What I am not looking forward to however is all the work that lies ahead of me. Looking around this house my head is spinning thinking about all the little things I need to pack up and put somewhere in order to move the furniture. Baby toys, nick nacks, the entire bottomof by bedroom closet, etc. Not to meantion my husband and Father have to move all the furniture out of the living room and bedroom in order to rip up the old carpet this coming weekend. Saturday morning we have to bring Stitch to my mother-in-law’s house because my Dad isn’t fond of a boy dog who lifts his leg and may go potty on his expesive things… as for myself, my husband, my daughter, and Tippy, we will be camping out at Dad’s this coming weekend. Friday I will be packing stuff away and clearing shelves, and Saturday they will be moving all of the furniture and ripping up the old carpet. Hopefull it will all be done by Saturday but if not at least they have Sunday as well. Monday is the day!!!! Good thing the dogs will be elsewhere and my sister will be watching my little lady over at my Dad’s house. A house with no carpet is no place for a baby to be crawling around!!! By the way, have I mentioned how excited I am?! Hehehe. ![]()

Football already?!
August 18th, 2009 by prettythoughtsUgh seriously? I don’t mind it when it’s chilly outside or even in September/October… but August? Yikes!!! It is already consuming my television!!!!!! Haha. I don’t mind a good Sunday afternoon football game that my husband, father, and brother like to enjoy together, but I like spending my evening nights doing things other than sitting around my house while football is on day in and day out. Last week the Lions played a practice game, and actually won! But that is beside the point… football already started in the middle of August, dang. It isn’t really the football itself that bothers me, I think it is what football represents, cold weather, and boring Sundays.

My changing baby!
August 12th, 2009 by prettythoughtsOh wow she is growing right before my eyes. She is almost 10 months old now. Her behaviors are changing, she is learning new things like waving and pointing. One change that has not set so easily with me is her new napping requirements. She always took two naps per day. The first around 10:30 AM and the second around 3:30. Lately, she has been falling asleep around 11:30 AM and waking up around 1:30 PM. Then I would put her down at 4:00 PM and that would work and she would then sleep until around 6:00 PM. Then a few days ago she started refusing her afternoon nap! She wasn’t crying when I put her down at 4:00 PM, but she was just not sleeping. I feel totally guilty leaving her in her crib for two hours if she isn’t even sleeping. This drove me crazy. So today, I bit the bullet and did it. I tried the one nap per day thing. My intention was to see how she was behaving all morning and put her down at 1:00 PM. Well after our walk about about 11:30 AM, we came home and she basically had a melt down on the living room floor. I thought to myself, “Ok, she must be exhausted.” And I put her to bed. She was quiet for about ten minutes and I thought she was sleeping. Then suddnely she started making noise and was playing. Well, it was only 11:40 AM so I figured I would get her out and keep her up until 1:00 PM so she could take one long, afternoon nap. So that is what we did.I fed her lunch at 1:00 PM and put her right in her crib after that. I think she fell asleep around 1:30-1:45 PM. I hope she sleeps til 4:00 PM! Haha. It’s gonna take some getting used to, for the both of us. I was really content with those two naps, especially the later one… the morning nap was a good time for me to get cleaning done, start dinner, and do random things around the house and the later nap was for ME! I would have coffee, lay down, relax,or even finish dinner. Well, as long as I can keep her nap later in the day, I think I will be ok. ![]()

As much as I hate to give this idiot the time of day…
August 7th, 2009 by prettythoughtsI think the benefit of a good laugh out weighs the other… so anyways, SHOOZY SHOOZY SHOOZY. If anyone has ever been to the SoapNet GH Message Boards, you will come across a vile and bitter poster who goes by the name of Shoozy. This person is a miserable excuse for a human (if that’s even what is behind that computer). It is very negative in almost every aspect of life. It makes negative comments about the show and it’s characters constantly, about other celebrities, and fellow posters on the board. This poster is so infatuated with everything I do that it comes to this blog and copies and pastes my posts!!!!!!!!! Silly Shoozy, if you despise me so much why are you doing me all these favors by coming to my blog??? I know you are reading this you pathetic excuse for ANYTHING living. …………Anyways I would advise you all to please visit the SoapNet Message Boards (GH) and just read some of this moron’s posts… it is a hoot! Thanks again and think PRETTY THOUGHTS!

I can’t wait for this weekend!
August 7th, 2009 by prettythoughtsAs I sit here with my beauty in my lap, my left hand on her bottle and my right on this keyboard, I can’t help but anxiously wait for the weekend to officially begin. I miss my husband more than ususal on this long Friday. I cannot wait, just a few hours more and the weekend is here! I am looking forward to staying in with my little family. My husband, my beauty, my 2 dogs, and maybe even my Dad will come by for dinner. After dinner I will enjoy a nice walk with my 2 loves and when the little lady is settled in bed it will be time to relax with my husband. Tonight I plan to cuddle with him on the couch, watch a movie (or maybe some DVRed GH), have some popcorn or roast some delicious marshmallows out on the deck. I am very excited for this evenings festivities and for the awesome storms we are supposed to have all day tomorrow.
Good storms make good cuddle sessions!
