So I heard great things about the Fiber One PB and Oats bars. I was at Target today and saw both the Fiber One bars and the Target version and compared the facts. Targets version had .5 less grams of fat and 10 less calories. I went for the Target brand. ![]()

My new makeup purchase!!!
October 15th, 2009 by prettythoughtsI ran out of Bare Minerals bronzer yesterday and I can’t live without a bronzer. However, I am looking to save some cash so while I was at Target this morning I found some drug store makeup. It was a toss up between Maybelline MIneral Power bronzers and Physician’s Formula bronzer. Maybelline did not specify that it was 100% natural but when I looked at the Physician’s Formula, it clearly stated it was 100% natural. I was so pumped! For $12.39 I got the bronzer and it came with a bonus pressed poweder! It was super exciting because I usually use Mac powder which I wasn’t really fond of because it is very comedogenic. It is no good for your skin at al, not to mention expensive. So I would have normally spent around $40.00 for those 2 itens total. Today I walked away with a GREAT buy, 2 ALL NATURAL priducts for $12.39. YAY. It’s my lucky day!!! PS In the skin care isle at Target a noticed they sell a TON of Burt’s Bees products now! I am super excited because that’s what we use on our little lady for her bath and now we use the shampoo, body wash, and lotions. I love it! Soon we will be using the hand soap, I didn’t get a chance to look and see if Target sold it. I have only seen it in small little boutiques not too close to my house.

Nap Time
October 5th, 2009 by prettythoughtsMy daughter has been taking 1 nap per day now and I just got used to it. She goes down anywhere between 1 and 2 PM and wakes up anywhere between 3:30 and 4:30 PM. Today however she was a bit cranky so I put her down around 11 AM to see if she would go to sleep. It’s now 11:30 AM and I think she is finally sleeping. Who knows maybe I will get the good old 2 naps in today. (Doubtful but one can dream). I really was getting to like the 1 nap per day because it let us go out and about in the morning then she was ready to eat lunch or a snack and go down for a solid 2-3 hrs and I could relax. It’s tough though on days like today when we don’t have anywhere to go and when I am trying not to go out for no reason. Staying home she tends to get more cranky because we run out of things to play. LOL She is an amazingly well behaved baby and we are so lucky and blessed. She is the BEST! Well, now it’s time for my coffee treat. ![]()

Tattoo!
October 5th, 2009 by prettythoughtsI finally got my new tattoo and I love it!!! It’s pretty small,a bit bigger than I hoped but still small. I went to XS on Saturday at 3:30 PM for my appointment. This guy Mike had tattooed me before and I thought he did a great job with the stars on my back. Back then I had brought my star necklace with me because it wasn’t a typical 5 point star, it had an angle to it. So he copied the star and went from there. On Saturday I didn’t bring my necklace because I figured he could get the shape right from my back- which he could have but didnt. He was drawing it free hand and every time he drew it it looked like crap! He said “I assure you it’s the exact samestar that’s on your back.” My husband and I looked at it and it just wasn’t. The lines weren’t straight, it wasn’t symmetrical, it was a mess. I was gonna settle for a regular 5 point star so he could get it from a computer image, then thought NO that’s not what I wanted. My husband thought of just getting the heart that day and coming back when I had my necklace for the star. But when Mike drew up the heart it was like my 17 year old dog drew it!!! He claimed that was a computer image, BS only if the computer was cracked out or had a virus!!! Needless to say he was rude, rushing, and we left. He talked to me like I was an idiot. I lost my deposit but oh well. So we found a new place through a friend called Big Top Tattoo. The name sounds white trash and gross but the owner Mark is highly credible and is a well known artist for the Metro Times. My experience there was much better. He was kind, patient, artisitc, and talented. Not to a bit odd but made the situation very comfortable. He was funny, he listened, and didn’t treat me like he just wanted to get me out the door. All in all I am very happy with me (second) experience. My tattoo turned out great and I love it. The only thing is I am feeling a little guilty because my Dad doesn’t know yet and I know he will be upset. I need to put it out of my mind because there is obviously nothing I can do now.

Lazy Ass Employees
October 2nd, 2009 by prettythoughtsSo I did my usual every 2 week stop at Vince and Joe’s for my chicken breast and meat. Normally I go on Thursdays but I didn’t make it there yesterday so I went today. I get 10 lbs of chicken breast because in order to get it for $1.99 per lb you have to buy 10 lbs… so anyways I always ask them to split it in 2 five lb bags and they always say ok. Today, I was told NO and when I told her that I come every 2 weeks and ALWAYS get it like this she told me I didn’t! LOL then I described the lady who does it for me and she said that she wasn’t supposed to be doing that. Oh GEEZ! So I told her she lost out on a $20 sale and I proceeded to the manager. The manager was very apologetic and was quick to go get me my chicken, split into 2 bags. Lordy lordy there are some lazy ass people out there. How hard is it really? I worked in retail for 4 years and people had some crazy requests like 5 different transactions or some other BS, if that’s what they want you do it! I mean unless it’s something totally off the wall.

Pancake Breakfast
October 2nd, 2009 by prettythoughtsI am super excited for my Uncle’s pancake breakfast on Sunday. He is the fire chief and every year his department has a pancake breakfast and afterwards it was always tradition for my family to take a trip to the cidermill. We continued that tradition last year even after my Mom had passed away just weeks before. She had always wanted to keep our family close so that’s what I am going to try my best to do. Weather permitting, after the pancake breakfast, we will be headed out to the cider mill, missing my Mom but adding my beautiful daughter. Life is weird isn’t it?

General Hospital Sept/Oct 09
October 2nd, 2009 by prettythoughtsI am loving it! Last week I was a bit bored for a brief moment but Maxie and Spinelli’s “non-wedding” drew me right back in. Although I wish those two would be married happilty every after, I accept the outcome and am glad they are still happy together. Tuesday’s episode was the most uplifting and entertaining episode I had seen in a very long time. I really wish my Mom could be here to see it with me. She always got a kick out of stuff like that. Anyways, it was a very cute few days and we can owe it all to the Maxie/Spinelli event. With Those two along with JaSam I really believe this show is gonna be unstoppable.

Beef Enchiladas (Crock Pot)
October 2nd, 2009 by prettythoughtsJust in case anyone is craving them, I make them different every time because I never write down the damn recipe! LOL My sister-in-law gave me a great recipe and now I just wing it on my own. But here is what I did today, I am making kind of a lot so here you go…
Brown 2 lbs of beef and put it in the crock pot
add 1 can of chicken broth (maybe less mine was kinda liquidy)
add 1 can of cream of chicken soup
add 1 can of red enchilada sauce
add 1 can of diced tomatoes with chiles in them
then I added half of a tiny can of green chiles which I wish I wouldn’t have cuz then kindof have a green peppery taste… anyways…
Let that cook on high for like 3 or 4 hours then take the soft tortilla shells and if you want you can line the bottom of the shell with refried beans. If not, just scoop out the mixture from the crock pot and put it in the shell. Roll the shell like an enchilada. Make as many to fill a glass pan (spray the pan first) then top with shredded cheese, a can of red enchilada sauce, and black olives. You can put tomato chunks or onion or whatever you like on top. Then bake that in the oven til its warm enough and the cheese is melty. DEEEEE-LISH! I also have an easy side of spanish rice from a packet, lol. Sounds good enough for me! Enjoy.

Who can you REALLY depend on?
October 2nd, 2009 by prettythoughtsAs much as I go back and forth I have finally realized that the only people you can REALLY depend on is your family. Whether it is your immediate family or an Aunt, Uncle, or Cousin, family is so muchmore dependable than friends. I am so damn sick of selfish people who are supposed to be good friends. Don’t get me wrong I still consider these people amazing friends but I think that’s why it hurts so much when they take that friendship for granted or when they act selfishly and cancel plans at the last minute for reasons that are not serious. Or send you a text with a “tentative” answer and expect you to wait around for them while they wait for a better offer. I am so done with all that. I know now that friends are nice to have and in my heart I really do wish I had ONE girl friend that was a lot like me and I could count on no matter what. My best friend truly is a great best friend and if ever I needed her or was upset or anything she ould come running. People have their own lives and it’s the little things that count sometimes. I am perfectly happy with my husband and rest of my family to be there for me and us. I love my family so much and I am so glad we are a close bunch! I am even close with my cousins, we grew up together hanging out and doing whatever. Family is always there for you when you need them the most.

Family Night!
October 2nd, 2009 by prettythoughtsI am so excited to be staying on with my husband and daughter on this cold and rainy Friday! It’s going to be so cozy. I have beef enchiladas in the crock pot and it’s making my house smell so homey! I love to cook for my family and relax at night with them. My Halloween decor is up so we will be able to enjoy it while watching a movie tonight. I can’t wait for a movie and treats with my love!
