So I did my usual every 2 week stop at Vince and Joe’s for my chicken breast and meat. Normally I go on Thursdays but I didn’t make it there yesterday so I went today. I get 10 lbs of chicken breast because in order to get it for $1.99 per lb you have to buy 10 lbs… so anyways I always ask them to split it in 2 five lb bags and they always say ok. Today, I was told NO and when I told her that I come every 2 weeks and ALWAYS get it like this she told me I didn’t! LOL then I described the lady who does it for me and she said that she wasn’t supposed to be doing that. Oh GEEZ! So I told her she lost out on a $20 sale and I proceeded to the manager. The manager was very apologetic and was quick to go get me my chicken, split into 2 bags. Lordy lordy there are some lazy ass people out there. How hard is it really? I worked in retail for 4 years and people had some crazy requests like 5 different transactions or some other BS, if that’s what they want you do it! I mean unless it’s something totally off the wall.

Beef Enchiladas (Crock Pot)
October 2nd, 2009 by prettythoughtsJust in case anyone is craving them, I make them different every time because I never write down the damn recipe! LOL My sister-in-law gave me a great recipe and now I just wing it on my own. But here is what I did today, I am making kind of a lot so here you go…
Brown 2 lbs of beef and put it in the crock pot
add 1 can of chicken broth (maybe less mine was kinda liquidy)
add 1 can of cream of chicken soup
add 1 can of red enchilada sauce
add 1 can of diced tomatoes with chiles in them
then I added half of a tiny can of green chiles which I wish I wouldn’t have cuz then kindof have a green peppery taste… anyways…
Let that cook on high for like 3 or 4 hours then take the soft tortilla shells and if you want you can line the bottom of the shell with refried beans. If not, just scoop out the mixture from the crock pot and put it in the shell. Roll the shell like an enchilada. Make as many to fill a glass pan (spray the pan first) then top with shredded cheese, a can of red enchilada sauce, and black olives. You can put tomato chunks or onion or whatever you like on top. Then bake that in the oven til its warm enough and the cheese is melty. DEEEEE-LISH! I also have an easy side of spanish rice from a packet, lol. Sounds good enough for me! Enjoy.

New Carpet!!! Oh happy day!
August 24th, 2009 by prettythoughtsI have had it with this old carpet of ours! While I was pregnant we replaced the carpet in our daughter’s room and the entire basement. This left us with old carpet in the living room and our bedroom. It wasn’t too bad and we got it professionally clean so it was looking pretty nice for about a minute…haha. When things are old, they just never get as “clean” as they should no matter how hard you scrub or how much you pay. Either way, when it comes down to it, when something is old, it’s old. I couldn’t take it anymore, the doggie mess stains on this light colored, already warn and over used carpet was really getting on my last nerve. My husband and I found a local carpet company called Richmond Interiors online. We spontaneously drove there over the weekend to find ourselves very pleased and ready to make the move. The company was advertising carpet remnants at a highly discounted price so my husband and I picked out a carpet that fit our needs… darker in color for our “doggie” situation since we have 2 dogs and one of them is very old and prone to making mistakes, comfortable, and affordable. We found the carpet right away and the sincerity and kindness of the business owner seeled the deal. The man was extrememly helpful, generous, and friendly. I am so very excited to be getting new carpet. Hopefully with the plastic runners you can find in Model Homes, this will prevent at least some of the messes my beautiful little dog may make in the future. Plus this new carpet is pre-treated therefore it will aid in preventing penetration of the stain. OH HAPPY DAY I cannot wait until it is installe dnext week. What I am not looking forward to however is all the work that lies ahead of me. Looking around this house my head is spinning thinking about all the little things I need to pack up and put somewhere in order to move the furniture. Baby toys, nick nacks, the entire bottomof by bedroom closet, etc. Not to meantion my husband and Father have to move all the furniture out of the living room and bedroom in order to rip up the old carpet this coming weekend. Saturday morning we have to bring Stitch to my mother-in-law’s house because my Dad isn’t fond of a boy dog who lifts his leg and may go potty on his expesive things… as for myself, my husband, my daughter, and Tippy, we will be camping out at Dad’s this coming weekend. Friday I will be packing stuff away and clearing shelves, and Saturday they will be moving all of the furniture and ripping up the old carpet. Hopefull it will all be done by Saturday but if not at least they have Sunday as well. Monday is the day!!!! Good thing the dogs will be elsewhere and my sister will be watching my little lady over at my Dad’s house. A house with no carpet is no place for a baby to be crawling around!!! By the way, have I mentioned how excited I am?! Hehehe. ![]()

Clean carpet for baby!
April 21st, 2009 by prettythoughtsI am so glad we decided to go ahead and get our carpet professionally cleaned. Our dogs have been making some accidents in the house and it was really starting to smell. It’s terrible to think about such a dirty carpet and how my daughter will be crawling soon. There is no way I could let her crawl around on such filth! Getting the carpet cleaned was a great decision. It came out beautiful. We called Hagopian, a carpet cleaning company in your general area and they did a wonderful job. The two men were very nice and did an excellent job. I am completely satisfied with the outcome. Right now the carpet is still wet so I am trying to to walk much on it though they said it was OK. Most of the furniture is still placed in other rooms of the house but I think we will put it back tonight. Not only do I feel a sense of relief from getting the carpet cleaned but also the motivation to do some hard core cleaning… well not exactly cleaning but nick-nack eliminating! While moving the end tables and entertainment center to other rooms in preparation for the carpet cleaning, I realized I have way too much stuff! My house isn’t even cluttered but it is too much for me. I am going through and getting rid of lots of useless pieces of “decoration.” It’s going to take a while and I don’t expect to do this all in one day but eventually I want my house and belongings to be as simple as possible. Now I just have to get my husband to get rid of his box of 20 year old trinkets. ![]()
